Old Time Fiddlers
The Old Time Fiddlers meets on Friday evenings. As of April 2009, we will move our jams to the Sisco Heights Community Club, 13527 99th Ave NE, Arlington, WA 98223. Jams will continue to be held on the 2nd and 4th Friday evenings of the month – April 10th and 24th. For directions, please contact Noel, or stop by our March jams for a map to the new location.
Celtic jam is at 5 p.m., workshop at 6 p.m., and circle jam begins at 7 p.m. Music, jamming and snacks throughout the evening. Free family entertainment; listeners and acoustic musicians of all ages (and their instruments) welcome.

Shred Event
The second annual Shred Event (shredding sensitive papers, ID, etc) will be held at Immaculate conception Parish, 1200 E. 5th. St. lower parking lot Arlington on April 25,2009.Shredding truck will be on site from 10AM to 2PMProceeds for a $1000 scholarship for a graduating senior to attend Vocational/Technical school. $5.00

Muscular Dystrophy
Saturday, April 18 from noon-3 p.m. Join the GOP for a Hop-A-Thon for Muscular Dystrophy at Billy McHales. We will be raising money to help the children with Muscular Dystrophy and disabilities. Camp Fire celebrates Earth Day
Explore the outdoors, make nature crafts, and experience other hands-on workshops at Camp Killoqua’s annual Earth Day event at Camp Killoqua from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18. Assistance League® of Everett
Assistance League of Everett’s Kitty Young Auxiliary is hosting “An April Affair” on Saturday, April 25, in the Gretchen DeLap Room at 5107 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA. Doors will open at 12 p.m. for the silent auction. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
The event will feature a luncheon, fashion show, children’s fashion show and a silent auction. Jazzmine, the jazz choir from Arlington High School will provide entertainment. Cost is $25 per person.
Funds raised will help support Operation School Bell® and the other philanthropic programs of Assistance League.

Clay Play Workshop for Youth

Fused glass workshop-gift making
Explore the art of Fused Glass! This Workshop taught by Janet Foley is a wonderful opportunity to discover fused glass while making your own beautiful fused glass projects. You need not bring anything but your ideas and sense of artistic adventure. There will be an overview of glass fusing and then let the creativity begin! Class will be held from 6pm-9pm on Wednesday, April 22 at Jennings Memorial Park Barn in Marysville. The registration fee is $35 and the material fee ranges from $25 to $45 depending on the project chosen. First Aid and CPR Training
Get certified in Basic First Aid or CPR. First aid classes will cover initial assessment, EMS activation, standard precautions, burn care, bleeding, shock, sudden illness, heat/cold emergencies, dislocations and fractures as well as specific body injuries. CPR classes teach the chain of survival, activation of EMS, emergency response, understanding what CPR is, manikin practice of CPR, and choking. Both First Aid and CPR courses meet requirements for DSHS, WISHA, OSHA, and L&I. Both classes are offered on Saturday, April 25th at the Ken Baxter Senior Community Center (514 Delta Ave., Marysville). Basic First Aid will be from 10:15-1:15pm and CPR will be from 1:45-4:45pm. Auditions for Star Energy
Arlington School of Dance is holding auditions for its Star Energy dance performance group on Saturday, April 25 at the dance school on Third Street and French Avenue in Arlington. Ages 9 – teen are invited to try out with permission from their parents. Sign up at the dance school. Star Energy provides the opportunity to perform at various events.
