ARLINGTON – A 55-year-old Bothell man was killed Tuesday when his car struck a tree along rural Highway 9 near the Skagit-Snohomish county line.
State troopers and medics responded to the scene at 12:20 p.m. about seven miles north of Arlington near Nakashima Farm. They found a car had left the roadyway and crashed into the trees before rolling over, state trooper Heather Axtman said.
The name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
It appeared the driver was headed north when the car left the road, Axtman said. The vehicle came to rest on its passenger side with severe damage.
The incident remains under investigaton.
