Everett Aquasox score home run with librarys summer readers

MARYSVILLE More than 2,500 summer readers and their families brought reading and baseball together during the Sno-Isle Libraries 2006 summer reading event. In partnership with the Everett AquaSox, children who signed up to read during the summer received tickets to one of seven AquaSox games.

MARYSVILLE More than 2,500 summer readers and their families brought reading and baseball together during the Sno-Isle Libraries 2006 summer reading event. In partnership with the Everett AquaSox, children who signed up to read during the summer received tickets to one of seven AquaSox games.
For the last eight years the Sno-Isle Libraries and the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation have partnered with the Everett AquaSox to motivate children to read during their summer vacations. This year, in addition to the AquaSox, corporate sponsors US Bank, BECU, Safeco Insurance, and Outbeak Steakhouse made tickets available for summer readers and their families.
The Sno-Isle Libraries serves more than 600,000 residents in Snohomish and Island counties. Sno-Isle has community libraries in Arlington, Brier, Clinton, Coupeville, Darrington, Edmonds, Freeland, Granite Falls, Lake Stevens, Langley, Lynnwood, Marysville, Mill Creek, Monroe, Mountlake Terrace, Mukilteo, Oak Harbor, Snohomish, Stanwood, and Sultan, as well as Mobile Services for the homebound and local daycares. Services and materials include 1.3 million items, reference services, electronic databases and computer equipment, Internet access, outreach programs for the homebound and local daycares, and story times for children.
