TULALIP – Overnight drivers who use Interstate 5 through the Tulalip-Marysville area should plan on a full closure of all northbound lanes on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Contractor crews working on a Tulalip Tribes project to rebuild the 116th Street Northeast overpass will close the lanes from 1 to 3 a.m.

Northbound drivers will exit I-5 at 116th Street and then immediately re-enter the interstate using the on-ramp.

Crews will be removing large pieces of construction equipment from the median. The equipment was being used to pour four concrete piers for a new bridge.

Rebuilding the overpass is part of the Tulalip Tribes project to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow. For more information, go to projects.tulaliptribes-nsn.gov/116th-interchange/index.aspx
