MARYSVILLE — A police pursuit on I-5 turned into a manhunt in Marysville the afternoon of June 25.
Police spotted a southbound driver who was “speeding excessively” on I-5 north of Fourth Street, Washington State Patrol trooper Heather Axtman said.
A trooper attempted to pull him over, and the man took off, Axtman said. A short pursuit ensued, about 2:15 p.m. The man got off I-5 at Fourth Street and pulled into a gas station parking lot. He jumped from the vehicle, which then rolled into some bushes, Axtman said.
The man ran. His identity was unknown.
