The cost to mail in your General Election ballot this year in Snohomish County is 68 cents.
Ernie Swanson of the post office said two 47-cent stamps are not needed.
If anything less than 68 cents is put on the ballot, it will still be delivered, as is a nationwide policy, but that bill will be charged to taxpayers in each county. Swanson said the county does not have the budget to pay that bill.
If you don’t mail it you will need to drop it off at a ballot box. Ballots can be placed there until 8 p.m. Election Day, Nov. 8
