MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Getchell football team was defeated by Stanwood 35-12 Sept. 30.

MG got off to a rough start in the first quarter with quarterback Caleb Koelmer throwing a pick-six . MG responded with a 20-yard field goal by Declan Sweatt in the second quarter, but Stanwood kept MG down with four unanswered touchdowns. The Chargers put together nine points in the final quarter with a 7-yard run by Ryan Haskell and a safety.

MG’s record dropped to 1-4.

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood football team gave way to 2A Northwest Conference-leader Lynden in a 54-26 loss Sept. 30.

Lakewood quarterback Austin Lane completed two touchdowns and rushed in one. Both of Lane’s throws were caught by Taylor Tresch, who also received a third TD from freshman QB Jared Taylor.

Lakewood’s record is 1-4.

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville-Pilchuck football team suffered a 49-7 rout to undefeated Ferndale Sept. 30. M-P’s record fell to 1-4.

GRAHAM — Arlington lost to Graham-Kapowsin 47-6 in a non-league game Sept. 29. Arlington’s record is 2-3.
