MARYSVILLE — The Tomahawk gridders 3A conquest continues as they take on the 8-2 Mountlake Terrace Hawks Friday, Nov. 14.
Terrace brings a strong run game to the table with Ryan Lacasse, who scored two touchdowns in its last game against Capital in Olympia, which the won 13-7.
In its highest-scoring game Oct. 17, Terrace plowed through Lynnwood 66-13 with Lacasse the main offensive weapon again, finding the end zone five times.
Terrace also demonstrated its defensive capabilities with Gabe Brady scoring off a 69-yard interception in that game.
The Hawks were defeated by Meadowdale 34-14 earlier this season, a team M-P trounced 55-34 in its crossover seeding game Oct. 31.
Lacasse was held to just two touchdowns that game.
Conversely, Marysville-Pilchuck’s running game packed a punch when they met Meadowdale. M-P running backs Austin Joyner and Killian Page ran in three touchdowns apiece.
And M-P’s star backs haven’t lost a step since.
Joyner has scored the majority of M-P’s touchdowns rushing in for four in the Tomahawks’ recent win against Seattle Prep 49-7. He was also backed by Page, who scored two touchdowns in M-P’s last game.
