Marysville celebrates holiday Dec. 6

Marysville gears up for the holiday with Merrysville for the Holidays set for Dec. 6.

Fun on Third Street with the Historical Society

Santa Claus will be hanging around at the Marysville Historical Museum, 1508 Third St., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Dec. 6.

Photos for $10 will be printed while visitors enjoy refreshments, or take your own photos for free. A unique backdrop features a Model T. Donations toward a new historical museum building will be welcome.

Marysville celebrates with Merrysville for The Holidays

The city of Marysville also invites the community to join in the Electric Lights Parade which starts at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 6. The Electric Lights Parade requires all vehicle entries to be decorated with lights. The parade concludes at Comeford Park, 514 Delta Ave., where Santa will visit with children and the water tower will be lit up.

Musical entertainment features the Northern Sound Advanced Girls Choir from 7 – 7:45 p.m. Savory treats, hot drinks and crafts will be available for purchase inside the Ken Baxter Senior Community Center, with proceeds benefitting activities at the center.

• 6:30-8:30 p.m. — Arts and Crafts in KBCC, with food & toy collection.

• 6:30 p.m. — Electric Light Parade.

• 7 p.m. — Water tower Lighting; Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive.

• 7 – 7:45 p.m. — Holiday music by Northern Sound Advanced Girls Choir.
