MARYSVILLE — A 33-year-old man was shot overnight in the Whiskey Ridge development and taken to a hospital.

“While we have not yet identified a suspect, we do not at this time believe this to be a random incident and believe residents in the area are not in any immediate danger,” Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said.

Officers were called around 4 a.m. to the 7600 block of 80th Ave NE.

The victim called 9-1-1 and reported he had been shot outside his home while getting into his truck. The victim was able to get back into his house where

responding officers located him. He was transported by aid car to a local hospital with serious injuries. He was alone in his home at the time of the shooting.

Detectives were on-scene and waiting for a search warrant to be issued in order to begin the investigation.
