MARYSVILLE – Community members are now able to sign up online for Marysville Parks and Recreation programs, classes and activities under the new Marysville ePlay online registration system which began Dec. 1. With just a few clicks of the mouse, Marysville residents can register day or night for classes offered through the Marysville Parks and Recreation Department.
Read class descriptions, register and pay for preschool classes, adult dance lessons, health and fitness activities, senior programs and much more. Register at your convenience from any computer connected to the Internet – registration is available now 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To use the online registration option, look for the “Marysville ePlay” link on the city website. If customers have registered with the department in the past they will already have an online account that they can access using their e-mail address.
Parks and Recreation officials are excited that this new service will finally be available to residents.
“Our City Council has recognized the efficiencies and benefits of online access for our customers, and have supported the costs to provide this new resource,” said Jim Ballew, Parks and Recreation Director. “We expect to increase our levels of participation significantly in 2011 as residents are seeking low-cost recreation and healthy alternatives, and we’re thrilled to provide this new service.”
The department on average offers more than 150 classes per season including art, dance, music, sports, fitness, cooking and educational topics. A complete list of Winter/Spring classes can be found in the Marysville Parks and Recreation Activities Guide, which will be mailed to all Marysville residents the week of Dec. 6 and available at various Marysville government offices, the public library, Chamber of Commerce and other public locations. The Winter/Spring recreation class schedule can also be viewed online on the city website.
