Update: Marysville Police on Friday located the vehicle and interviewed the people they were seeking to question.
MARYSVILLE – Marysville police are asking for the public’s help to identify individuals who may have witnessed a fatal hit and run that occurred on Feb. 15.
Detectives released surveillance video of a vehicle and three people who were in the 5800 block of 64th Street NE where a 24-year-old Marysville man, Matthew Colson, was struck by a dark SUV about 7:40 p.m. He died in a hospital the next day.
“The people in these photos may have valuable information or video footage that could help detectives in their investigation,” Sgt. Pete Shove said Thursday.
Investigators believe that the pictured vehicle they hope to locate is a 2010-2011 Honda CR-V sport utility vehicle, possibly gray, silver, red, or burgundy in color. The driver appears to be a shorter white female, possibly wearing glasses. She is also wearing an oversized coat and carrying a large purse.
The male passenger appears to be balding, taller, thin, and wearing blue jeans and white sneakers.
A second passenger, who appears to be a younger female, is thin with long, dark hair and may be wearing glasses. Detectives also think that the female driver and the male passenger appear older than the female passenger.
“These persons are not considered suspects in this case,” Shove said. “Detectives would simply like to speak with them about their proximity to the accident scene near the time of the incident.”
Anyone who believes they know the individuals is asked to contact Detective Chris Jones at 360-363-8327.
