MARYSVILLE — At approximately 5:15 p.m. on June 14, Marysville Fire District crews were dispatched to a fire at a tire recycling center located at the corner of 152nd Street NE and 39th Avenue NE. Numerous callers reported flames and heavy black smoke from the location. While en route, crews could see a column of thick black smoke reaching approximately 300 feet high, with flames reaching approximately 30 feet. Once on scene, the crews were able to control the flames quickly.
Approximately 26 emergency crew members responded from Marysville and Arlington.
No injuries were reported.
Marysville Fire and the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office conducted an investigation and have ruled the cause as undetermined, with approximately $60,000 damage.
