MARYSVILLE – A missing Marysville teen who could not be found by search and rescue caught a ride into Everett Wednesday night and is safe and sound.

Snohomish County sheriff’s officials say the lost hiker could not be found after an overnight ground search near Lake Serene/Bridal Veil Falls trail at Index.

Officials were concerned because Fielremaroa Araya has medical issues that require daily medication. He also was not dressed or equipped to stay overnight in the backcountry. Araya was hiking with other teens and a counselor when he became separated from the group. The counselor and teens searched the area for a couple of hours before calling 9-1-1.
