M’ville supe a finalist for Snohomish job

MARYSVILLE – Marysville School District Superintendent Becky Berg said while attending the city’s 125th birthday celebration March 19 that she is one of three finalists for the superintendent’s post in Snohomish.

MARYSVILLE – Marysville School District Superintendent Becky Berg said while attending the city’s 125th birthday celebration March 19 that she is one of three finalists for the superintendent’s post in Snohomish.

Berg, 53, will spend Wednesday visiting Snohomish schools, meeting employees and taking questions at a public meeting from 7-8 p.m. at the district office, 1601 Ave. D.

Tonight’s meeting will be with Duluth, Minn., Public Schools Superintendent Bill Gronseth, and Helena, Mont., Schools Superintendent Kent Kultgen is set for Thursday.

Longtime Snohomish Superintendent Bill Mester is retiring in June. A decision isn’t expected until at least March 28.
