The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory which will be in effect from 10 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17, until noon, Tuesday, Dec. 18, for the east Puget Sound lowlands, including Everett and vicinity.
According to the advisory a Puget Sound Convergence Zone will persist through at least Tuesday morning and precipitation that falls late Monday evening through Tuesday morning will most likely be in the form of snow. Snow accumulations could be up to three inches and there could be locally higher amounts if a strong convergence zone develops.
The main impact, according to the NWS advisory, will be that winder driving conditions are possible during the Tuesday morning commute. Residents should be prepared to leave for work earlier than normal on Tuesday to allow for possible delays due to snow.
