ARLINGTON To avoid long lines at the post office this week, consider using the shipping servcies of the new, Copy, Mail & More in the recently expanded Arlington Pharmacy, at 526 N. West Avenue.
Along with packing and mailing services and a new meeting room, the expansion also provides more space for enjoying a latte at Pioneer Coffee.
Located in one of downtowns few strip malls, the pharmacys mini-mall was developed by the founder of Arlington Pharmacy, Dale Duskin. While most of the six units have been consistently occupied, the one adjacent to the pharmacy has been rented to six renters in almost as many years, mostly restaurants of different types.
There was a shoe store, way back, said pharmancy manager Cory Duskin.
The new Arlington Copy, Mail & More is managed by Paula Kennedy, who started a similar business in Lake Stevens and then sold it.
Paula and Desa have worked together on designing the space, Duskin said. Desa is Duskins wife, who works part time at the store.
We are adding a few services, but mostly just expanding for some more breathing room, Duskin said as he pointed out the remodeled space makes room for some comfortable couches for patrons of the popular coffee shop, which is now owned by the pharmacy and managed by Karen Watson.
Weve been doing color and black-and-white copies, scanning and faxing for some time already in the pharmacy. Now were adding shipping and mail boxes, and most importantly, a conference room for rent, Duskin said.
The conference room rents for $20 an hour, and it includes private conference calling, a white board, DVD and VHS and internet access.
Arlington Copy, Mail & More also offers binding, laminating, computer design services on PC computers and business card printing, in house or out, depending on customer needs. Even vinyl banners and wedding invitations can be ordered.
The pharmacy is also a WiFi Hotspot, so you can sit in the coffee shop and chat with your friends via e-mail.
