The president of SPA, Peter Blake said the community theater group has used the space for rehearsals for a number of years.
Im delighted to have this partnership between Sky Valley Education Center and community theater, Blake said.
This will allow more people an opportunity to get involved and get more kids engaged in creative pursuits.
The new space includes permanent lighting and a stage that can be reconfigured to suit the performance, he said.
It will also be a more intimate setting with the audience closer to the action.
We strongly believe that schools are community facilities and should be available to serve the community, said Karen Rosencrans, principal at SVEC.
We are very pleased to provide access to live theater to the community and our students. Its the right thing to do.
