MARYSVILLE — About 525 kids from Pinewood Elementary School assembled to make the no. 12 in honor of the Seattle Seahawks on the grass field east of the campus Jan. 30.

It was the second year of the assembly, but fourth-grade teacher Christine Cobb wants to make it a tradition.

Fans of the team are known as the “12th man'” thus the name.

“They are such a great team with so many role models for youth,” Cobb said. “We can’t end it without saying ‘Go Hawks!'”
