MARYSVILLE — Drivers should plan ahead for overnight lane closures on both directions of I-5 near Marysville and Arlington this week. Crews working on the I-5 Marysville median barrier project and the I-5/SR 531 interchange project will close lanes on I-5 Tuesday through Thursday nights.
In Marysville, drivers should plan for closures on I-5 between SR 531 and the Stillaguamish Bridge:
• Tuesday, July 6 through Thursday, July 8 – Crews will close one left lane of northbound I-5 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and two left lanes of southbound I-5 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly to install concrete barrier.
• Tuesday, July 6 – Crews will also close the right lane of southbound I-5 from south of Arlington to Marysville from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. while they install traffic sensors. One lane of southbound I-5 will remain open at all times.
In Arlington, drivers should plan for closures on I-5 near the SR 531 interchange:
• Wednesday, July 7 – Crews will close the two left lanes of southbound I-5 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Thursday, July 8 – Crews will close the two right lanes of southbound I-5 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Crews will also close the right lane of northbound I-5 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
During the closure crews will complete permanent striping at the interchange.
