MARYSVILLE — The city police department plans a public meeting to discuss the arrival in the city of a registered sex offender.

The meeting is 7 p.m., June 4, at Pinewood Elementary School, 5115 84th St.

Robert Michael Galovin has registered as a Level II sex offender with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. He will be living in the 4900 block of 75th Place NE, Marysville.

Galovin is described by police as 59 years of age, approximately 5’7” in height, weighing 230 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

According to police, Snohomish County records say Galovin pled guilty to first-degree child molestation in Snohomish County Superior Court on Aug. 25, 1995. He was given 51 months in prison. Police listed his victim as a girl, four, who was known to him.
