MARYSVILLE — The students and families of Quil Ceda Elementary are invited to enjoy an evening of hot chocolate and family reading as part of “Snuggle Up and Read” night.
Hosted by the Quil Ceda Elementary PTSA and AmeriCorps members, “Snuggle Up and Read” will feature guest storytellers from the Marysville Public Library and the Marysville School District.
“Snuggle Up and Read” night will take place on Feb. 5 from 6-7 p.m. at the Quil Ceda Elementary campus. Organizers hope to promote the importance of reading to parents. Families are encouraged to bring blankets for shared reading, and to make literacy a common interest in the home.
Quil Ceda Elementary staff and volunteers will be serving hot chocolate and cookies, and giving away tickets for door prize drawings and activities. Students will also receive tickets for free books of their choice, from a selection of children’s books and young reader books.
