MARYSVILLE — Just before 3 p.m. on June 3, Marysville Fire District crews were dispatched to a residential fire in the 16600 block of McRae Road, where they found approximately half of a double-wide mobile home engulfed in flames. Crews quickly contained the fire, but not before it caused substantial damage.
A family of four — two sisters and their two young children — have been displaced. Red Cross is assisting them. No injuries were reported.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting an investigation.
The contents are a total loss. The family had rental insurance on a portion of the contents.
“Although some of your belongings are irreplaceable, many can be replaced after a house fire, but only if insured,” said Kristen Thorstenson of the Marysville Fire District. “Renters’ insurance can be as inexpensive as $8 to $26 a month.”
