‘The Odyssey’

You are welcome to “The Odyssey,” a play presented by the Granite Falls High School Dramatics Association, it will be a show you surely won’t want to miss. The play is full of tragedy and comedy, good and evil. Show dates are: Dec. 4, 12 and 13 at 6 p.m. and Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. (Plus two other undecided dates) Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $3 for students (must have school ID) and $1 for children 12 and under. ‘The Illusion’

Everett Community College students are giving six performances of the drama “The Illusion” at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 20-22 and Dec. 4-6 in EvCC’s Baker Hall, Room 120. Admission is by donation. The play includes mature subject matter is not recommended for children.

Grand Gala

Friday evening, Dec. 5, will be a “Grand Gala” with wine, cheese, hors d’oeuvres and wonderful Christmas music for entertainment in a beautiful festive environment. $35. This is the event were the Festival of Tree trees will be auctioned off. Saturday, Dec. 6, bring the family and view all the beautiful decorated trees. Carriage rides, face painting, live holiday entertainment and Christmas shopping at the Kris Kringle and Candy Land Stores. Norwegian delicacies including baked goods, pickled herring and lefse.

Holiday Wine Tasting

Quilceda Community Services, non-profit agency serving adults with developmental disabilities since 1976, in residential care and in an activity program is hosting, with Marysville Wine Styles a Holiday Wine Tasting evening fundraiser. Event will be held Thursday, Nov. 20 from 5 – 9 PM. Event includes wine tasting, holiday gift and wine purchasing, a fresh holly wreath raffle and purchased snacks. Old Time Fiddlers

The Old Time Fiddlers meets Friday evenings Nov. 28 and Dec. 12 at the old Arlington High School, 135 South French Street, Arlington. No jam on Dec. 26. Celtic jam is at 5 p.m., workshop at 6 p.m., and circle jam begins at 7 p.m. Music, jamming and snacks throughout the evening. Turn your thumb green

The Arlington Garden Club will be offering their series of Turn Your Thumb Green workshops the second Saturday of the month at the Arlington Boys and Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave. NE, Arlington, WA. 98223, 10 – 11:30 a.m., free to members, $3 for non-members.

Embroidery class
