UPDATE | Winter Storm Warning in effect through Thursday

The National Weather Service has announced a Winter Storm warning which covers the Puget Sound region.

MARYSVILLE – The National Weather Service has announced a Winter Storm Warning which covers the Puget Sound region.

The Feb. 25 Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce’s Business Before Hours has been canceled due to weather-related conditions. The program has been rescheduled to April 29.

Due to severe snow and ice conditions in the forecast, the city of Marysville has announced that its Marysville University class originally scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 23 has been canceled. The free one-night civics class providing an inside look at the Marysville Police Department and the law enforcement services will be rescheduled at a later date.

The city of Marysville has likewise postponed its 88th Street master plan neighborhood meeting from Thursday, Feb. 24, to the following Thursday, March 3, from 6-8 p.m. in the Marysville City Hall Council Chambers at 1049 State Ave. The proposed master plan would establish allowable land uses and design standards on property west of State Avenue.

Community Transit has announced snow and ice in north Snohomish County may cause delays this morning on some routes. However, all service is expected to operate as normal.

Community members who drive on I-5 to work can check out the current conditions on Interstate 5 at the Washington Department of Transportation’s Traffic Conditions website and I-5 at SR 531 Traffic Camera and the I-5 at Ebey Slough Traffic Camera.
