EVERETT — The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Momsen (DDG 92) will return to her homeport of Naval Station Everett on Thursday, Aug. 22, concluding a four-month deployment in the Western Pacific.

While deployed, Momsen took part in Talisman Saber and Cooperation and Readiness Afloat Training (CARAT).

During exercise Talisman Saber, Momsen participated alongside units from the Royal Australian Navy and the USS Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group. Talisman Saber is the second largest maritime exercise in the world, jointly led by U.S. Pacific Command and the Australian Defense Force.

Third Fleet leads naval forces in the Eastern Pacific, from the West Coast of North America to the International Date Line, and is responsible for providing the realistic, relevant training necessary for an effective global Navy.
