Ben Johnson, 86, of Everett, Wash., died Feb. 26, 2007.
Ben was born on Dec. 10, 1921, in Arlington, Wash., to Peter and Myrtle Johnson. His family moved to Camano Island, Wash., when he was a small child. He grew up enjoying hunting and fishing with his nine brothers and sisters.
Ben, a Washington native, lived most of his adult life in Lake Stevens, Wash. He will be remembered for his service as a Navy gunner in the Pacific during World War II. Ben was a laborer, and known as a very hard worker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; one daughter, Sharon; one son, Keith; brothers, Peter, George and Howard; and sisters Anna, Alice and Marie.
He is survived by his son Dean, of Millcreek, Wash.; sister Mina, of Oregon; brothers, Iver, of Granite Falls, Wash.; and Raymond of Sedro Woolley, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
