Buddy Lee Messick

Buddy (Linden) Lee Messick, 70, of Marysville, WA, formerly of Milton, DE, passed away April 20, 2016 in his home.

Buddy was born December 21, 1945, in Milford, DE, to James and Pauline (Smith) Messick. He graduated from Georgetown High School in 1963. Buddy served 4

years in the United States Air Force after graduation. He was well-known, liked and respected in the racing circuits on both the East and West coasts, with a love of dirt tracks and Sprint cars.

Buddy spent multiple decades driving truck.

Buddy is survived by wife Donna, 3 daughters: Shelly (Kory) Knudson, Marshfield, WI; Barbara Messick, Marysville, WA; and Terri Messick, France. Beloved step-daughter Carol (Clarke) Droney, Milton, DE. 13 grandchildren: Seth, Summersday Awna, Karter, Jennifer, Mary, Christopher, Theodore, Cory, Aaron, Richie, Mark, Jay, Katie. 6 siblings: James E. Messick Jr. of Georgetown, DE; Ronnie Messick of Ellendale, DE; and Andy Messick of Warner Robins, GA.; four sisters: Clara Tackett of Milford, DE; Edie Banzohf and Lois Wiley of Wedowee AL; and Rebecca Fisher of Texas.
