Helane Blaustein

Helane Blaustein will always be our beloved “Laney.” She had a whisper of a body, yet the inner strength of a thousand men.

She gave generously from her heart to everyone she knew and even to those whom she did not, through charity.  Everything Laney touched was beautiful, from her gardens to her many crafts that she so loved to create.

Her knowledge was astounding and she always had something to say that was meaningful.  She was never afraid to ask for help.  To her friends and neighbors, the family gives many thanks for always being there to help her do things which she could not do on her own.  Thank you for helping her carry groceries, pump gas, and in many other ways aiding and enriching her life experience.

A special thank you to the Arlington Library Staff who carried her books to her car. She touched our hearts with love and will be dearly missed.  She was a shining example of a person facing challenges head-on, pushing beyond diversities, and always thinking positively.

She leaves behind her sister Julie Gillis, brother Seth A. Blaustein, niece Carly A. Gillis, great aunt Norma Kaster, multiple cousins, dear friends, and others to whom she was an inspiration. A wonderful new life is yours for the making. WE LOVE YOU LANEY!
