Mary Lee Adams, 82, of Juniper Beach, Camano Island, Wash., died Aug. 21, 2007.
She was born May 1, 1925, in Cordova, Alaska.
Mary Lee was a 1942 graduate of Everett High School and 1946 graduate of Washington State University.
In 1946, she married Earl Adams when he returned from the war. In 1949, she began her career as a military wife supporting Earl in his 29 years of service in the U.S. Army.
Mary Lee will always be remembered for her lovely gardens. She was a proud member of the Washington State Territorial Daughters. Mary Lee spent many hours on genealogy and left each of her children a book full of their family history.
She is survived by her son, Mark Adams, of Houston, Texas; daughter, Susan Newman, of Everett, Wash.; Scott (Margaret) Adams, of Mount Vernon, Wash.; five grandchildren, Rachel Newman, Chris, Beth, Matthew and Claire Adams; and one great-grandchild, Riley Hammons.
Visitation was from 3 – 5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, and Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy.
Private interment at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
