Forks resident and longtime Ballard resident, Dick Lorenzen died in Port Angeles at age 77.

He was born in Arlington, WA to Lorenz and Emma Kathleen Lorenzen and was a 1949 graduate of Arlington High School in Arlington, WA.

On Sept. 19, 1953 he married Iola Bjorn in Lakewood, WA, who preceded him in death in 2001.

He leaves a son Rick Lorenzen, a daughter and son-in-law Ilene and Thomas Rogers, grandchildren Cory and Jamie Lorenzen, Katie and Deana Rogers, and great-granddaughter Jordin, many nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, 804 State Ave., Marysville, 360-659-3711.

Visitation hours will also be on Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Marysville Cemetery.
