Ron Risner, 58, of Arlington, Wash., passed away early Saturday morning.
Ron was born Nov. 25, 1948, in San Diego, Calif.
He served four years in Vietnam, as heavy artillery and a Helicopter Crew Chief, earning a Bronze Star. His military service ended in Ft. Lewis, Wash. He retired from Boeing on May 31, 2007, after 25 years of service.
Ron enjoyed being a father and participated in many activities with his children and grandchildren. He had helped many children turn their lives around.
He is survived by his wife, Melody Risner of 37 years; son, Kenny Risner; daughter, Elaine; son-in-law, Troy Crawford; sister, Barbara Risner; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Cleo and Chelsie Risner; along with son, Shawn Risner.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Evergreen Funeral Home, with a reception following the service at the Inn at Port Gardner.
