It is with a heavy heart, that I send this letter to you today. A wise old saying says, “all good things must come to an end” and this statement is especially true for a military spouse, such as myself. My husband, Master Chief/Master Diver, John Emborski of the U.S. Navy, has accepted an incredible position reassignment on the East coast, in Virginia Beach, Va. My family and I will be relocating in July.
Please accept this letter as notice that July 9, 2010 will be my last day as Publisher of The Marysville Globe, The Arlington Times, The Bellingham Business Journal and The Wenatchee Business Journal.
I cannot begin to express my gratitude and thanks to you and to the community, residents, business owners, officials and organizations that I have had the pleasure of meeting and serving during my time here in the Pacific Northwest. I thank you for the welcome you have extended to me and for allowing me the privilege of earning your trust and business. I’m a firm believer that, “it is not the amount of time you spend in a community that matters, but what you do while you are there that make the difference”.
During my time here, I’m proud of the difference that I have made. I have appreciated the opportunity to work for Sound Publishing Inc. I’m equally humbled to have represented them with pride, as a regional publisher over the last year and a half. These publications serve their communities well, providing local readers and advertisers a medium that is well respected, with relevant and timely local news, sports, business news, events and much more.
These publications, respectively, are staffed by talented, dedicated and loyal individuals. It has been an honor to have worked with these individuals who together, produce an unbelievable publication!
I have grown personally and professionally, together with these publications, and am extremely proud to have had a hand in their new look and direction.
I have taken great pride in being part of the organizations, committees and board positions that I have served on, and will continue to proudly support their efforts wherever I may be.
I’m not going to say “goodbye”, but I will say, “Thank You for everything and ….until we meet again.”
