During the holiday season, we reflect once again on the heartwarming goodwill found throughout our community. The thoughtfulness and concern of so many in the Arlington community shines year round and is especially bright during this most-joyful season.

There are many of you who go the extra step during the holiday season to help others; please accept my heartfelt thanks for all your kindness toward those families and individuals who are blessed by your help.

I am deeply touched by the way our city of Arlington staff continues to give back to our community. During this holiday season they have donated toys, food, their time and their own funds to help those in A-Town.

We hope you enjoyed spending time in the new businesses, as well as your established favorites, as you prepared for this season. The Downtown Arlington Business Association and the Chamber of Commerce went all out to ensure your experience was welcoming and festive. It is wonderful to see our town vibrant with Christmas spirit during the holidays.

We are proud of our extraordinary quality of life here, and I look forward to a new year of growth and prosperity. As mayor, and on behalf of the entire city of Arlington, we look forward to working together with you to build an even stronger, safer and more compassionate and prosperous community.
