MARYSVILLE – Four Chargers participated in a letter-of-intent signing ceremony today at Marysville Getchell High School.
The graduating seniors all plan to play sports in college.
Carley Wika signed to play women’s soccer at Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, CA, in the Bay Area. Along with being a four-year letter winner at MG in soccer, she also earned varsity letters all four years in basketball and track. She has a 3.7 grade point average.
Juliana Cameron signed to play women’s volleyball at Western Oregon University in Monmouth. Cameron, who plays setter, earned varsity letters all four years at MG. She has a 3.9 gpa.
Two other Chargers signed to play sports locally at Everett Community College.
Lindsay Weikel, who earned four varsity letters, will play women’s soccer at EvCC. And Erik James, the only male in the group, signed to play men’s soccer there. Along with being a four-year-letterman in soccer, he also earned one varsity letter in tennis.
All four thanked their parents for not only pushing them to be successful, but also for taking them to all of their games over the years. They also thanked their coaches.
