Connor Stephens of Arlington placed 12th at state to be the top local golfer.
Stephens shot 18-hole rounds of 76 and 73 for a two-day total of 149 at the Columbia Point Golf Course in Richland. The medalist shot a 137.
Eagle teammate Cody Oakes was only a few shots behind with a 77-75 152 total.
Arlington placed fifth in the team standings with 46.5 points. Redmond won with 80.5 points.
In the 3A girls tournament at Canyon Lakes Golf Course in Kennewick, Katelynn Melohusky of Marysville-Pilchuck and Abbie Braun of Marysville Getchell qualified for the second day, but their results were unavailable.
Lakewood, competing in the 2A tournament at Indian Canyon Golf Course in Spokane, had a 36th place finisher in Bailey Dixon. She shot two rounds of 96 for a 192 total. About one-quarter of the local golfers who qualified for state played in Wednesday’s second round. Locals who did not make the cut after the first day included M-P golfers CJ Goodman and Nate Venables, who both shot 79; and Caden Smith of Arlington, who shot 81.
Melohusky shot a 92 and Braun a 93 to advance. Locals who did not make the cut included Alexis von Ellinghaus of MG with a 102 and Marina Vu of Arlington with a 103.
For Lakewood, Brooke Forsell did not make the cut.
To get to state, Braun shot a 36-hole score of 199, and von Ellinghaus a 192. Melohusky shot a 182 and Vu a 193 at Kayak Point. Dixon shot a 97 for 18 holes, and Forsell shot a 100 at Skagit Valley. Stephens placed second at districts with rounds of 73-75 at Walter Hall in Everett. Oakes had an 82-74, and Smith an 81-80.
Goodman, with a 77-79, and Venables, with a 80-76, also qualified.
