All three local Wesco 3A boys basketball teams won their games Wednesday night.
In a thriller, Marysville Getchell edged visiting Shorecrest 56-54.
Chase Showalter grabbed an offensive rebound and was fouled with seven seconds remaining in a tie game. Showalter made the two free throws, and the Chargers denied the Scots on defense to hang on for the win.
Malakhi Knight scored 22 points to lead MG, while Showalter and Caleb Koellmer tacked on 11 points apiece. Josiah Koellmer added 7, Matt Thomas 3 and Lul William 2.
Meanwhile, in Arlington, the Eagles walked all over Cedarcrest 74-53. Anthony Whitis scored 24 points to lead the way. Caden Smith added 15 and Josh Gutierrez 14. Ethan Martin scored 8, Max Smith 6, Michael Tsoukalas 4, Quintin Yon-Wagner 2 and Ryan Brown 1.
Marysville-Pilchuck also had an easy time with Lynnwood, winning 65-46.
RaeQuan Battle scored 31 points with Alec Jones-Smith adding 9, Ethan Jackson 8, Brady Phelps 6, T.J. Severn 5 and Treven Southard and Aaron Kalab 3 each. Cameron Stordahl played but did not score, and Luke Dobler again did not play.
