MARYSVILLE – Natalia Zieroth was the medalist with a low score of 41 to lead Marysville-Pilchuck to a 213 to 230 win over Marysville Getchell Wednesday in Wesco 3A North girls golf.
Zieroth shot a 6-over-part at Cedarcrest Golf Course.
For the Tommies, Liz Turrel shot a 55, Gracie Wilkenson a 58 and Kaden Otto a 59. For the Chargers, Nicole Phengmuang led with a 51, Natalie Furness shot a 53, Emily Reynolds a 57 and Amie Konteh a 59.
Baseball
Arlington continued to dominated Wesco 3A opponents with a 16-0 win over Snohomish.
The Eagles erupted for nine runs in the first and seven in the fifth to end the game early.
Owen Bishop and Cole Cramer combined for a two-hitter.
Bishop stood out at the plate, too, going 3-4 with a double and 4 runs batted in. He didn’t give up a hit and struck out 5 for the win.
Jack Sheward also knocked in four runs, scored three times and hit two doubles. Cameron Smith went 2-3 with a double and RBI and scored twice.
In another game, Oak Harbor edged Marysville Getchell 6-5.
Tennis
At Arlington, the girls tennis team fell to Everett 4-3.
Winners for the Eagles were, at No. 2 singles, Faith Holden 6-1, 6-2; and at No. 4 singles Bo Eastman won 6-3, 6-2. At No. 3 doubles, Abby Weber-Siena Leighton won 7-5, 2-6, 6-3.
M-P lost to Snohomish 7-0 and MG lost to Stanwood by that same score.
In Northwest 2A, Bellingham beat Lakewood 6-1.
Softball
Lakewood got by host Cedarcrest 6-4 Wednesday.
Pitcher Riley Mae Swanson improved to 3-1 with 11 strikeouts. At the plate, Britt Boortz went 3-4 with an RBI and Natalie Krueger 2-4 with 2 RBI.
In Wesco 3A, Monroe 13 beat M-P 13-9.
