In girls tennis, M-P beat Mariner 4-3 Tuesday.
At No. 1 singles, Tomahawk Paige Bramer won 6-4, 6-4 to clinch the win.
The Tommies lost the other three singles matches, but won all three doubles matches for the win.
At No. 1 doubles, Dana Bichel-Taylor Bichel blanked their foes in two sets 6-0, 6-0; Kristina Gret-Irina Gret only lost one game 6-0, 6-1; and Joslynn Scharpp-Maddy Baxter won a 6-1, 6-3 victory.
In boys soccer, M-P won its home opener 2-1 over Mount Vernon Tuesday.
After a scoreless first half, Randy Galvan gave M-P a 1-0 lead in the second.
After MV tied it, Davis Magee scoredthe winning goal with a header after the ball deflected off the crossbar from a free-kick.
Marysville-Pilchuck’s boys baseball team opened its season Tuesday with a 14-1 loss to Mountlake Terrace in 5 innings.
Arlington
In boys golf, at the “Where Do You Stand Invite” at the Snohomish Golf Course Tuesday, Arlington won seven team tourney with 162 points. Nate Metcalf and Riley Morris tied for the Eagles, both shooting 40. Caden Smith and Alex Coghill both hit 41. And Jayden Fullerton shot a 48. Arlington tied Cascade in soccer 1-1 Tuesday.
Marysville Getchell
MG was last in boys golf Tuesday at Snohomish with 220 points. Emryk Flitz shot a 43, Nathan Bickle a 50, Chase McGowne a 58 and Jacob Faller a 69.
Also Tuesday, MG lost to Monroe in soccer 3-1.
Lakewood
In girls softball, Lakewood demolished Stanwood 23-5 in 5 innings Tuesday.
Natalie Krueger led the Cougars going 4-4, knocking in 5 runs, and scoring four times. Riley Mae Swanson went 3-4, with two doubles and a triple, while also scoring four runs. Britt Boortz was the winning pitcher.
In other Lakewood sports news, junior guard Alex Jensen was named first team All Northwest Conference in boys basketball.
