M-P soccer, softballers win; MG girls also win; Eagles lose despite grand slam

Soccer

Marysville-Pilchuck continued its dominating, unbeaten season with a 3-0 win over Mountlake Terrace Monday.

Forward Randy Galvan continued to be a scoring machine with two more goals. Kyle Matson scored one goal, and Ryan Benneman had an assist to help the Tomahawks, who are 8-0-1 on the year, 6-0-1 in Wesco play. The only blemish on their record is a tie with Snohomish.

Also Monday, Marysville Getchell was shut out by Edmonds-Woodway 2-0.

Softball

Catcher Shannon Patton and Brionna Palm hit home runs to lead MG to a 13-3 win over Lynnwood Monday in five innings.

Patton also hit a double in going 2-3 while Palm went 2-2. Skyleigh Morrison added a double. Thea Hatch was the winning pitcher.

M-P pounded out 11 hits in beating Mountlake Terrace 7-2.

Lilianne Fischer led the way going 3-3 with a home run, 2 RBI and she scored twice. Cassidy Phelps hit 2 triples and had 2 RBI, while Alissa Edge hit a double and had an RBI.

Freshman Emily Downing was the winning pitcher, although Fischer came in and shut MLT down in two innings of relief.

ARLINGTON

Softball

Arlington lost a close one at Archbishop Murphy 12-10, despite a grand slam by Kailyn Thai.

Thai went 2-3 with 5 RBI and Madisyn Estes went 4-5 with 3 RBI.

Soccer

Monday, Arlington was shut out by Shorewood 2-0.

LAKEWOOD

Baseball

Monday, in a Northwest Conference 2A game, Squalicum got by Lakewood 5-2.
