The Tomahawk tennis team made it two in a row with a 4-3 Wesco North league victory Wednesday, Oct. 4 against the Monroe Bearcats.
Junior Chris Wall was a victor at No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-1. Sophomore Kyle Hanks also won at No. 4 singles 6-4, 6-2.
In doubles action, the number one duo of junior Riley Gilbertson and senior Joel Anderson won 5-7, 6-4, 6-1.
At doubles No. 4, senior Jacob Newman and sophomore Jeff Jensen won 6-1, 6-4.

The M-P tennis team picked up a key Wesco North league victory Monday, Oct. 2, 4-3 against the Lake Stevens Vikings.
Sophomore Joe Dyer won at the number two singles spot 6-3, 6-4.
Head coach Robert Sherry said Dyers victory broke the 3-all deadlock.
It was very exciting as it boiled down to the final match with the score tied 3-3, Sherry said. Both teams and parents gathered around reacting to every point. It makes it a lot of fun despite being rather nerve wracking.
At number three singles junior Alan Butner won 6-1, 6-0. Sophomore Kyle Hanks completed the near sweep at the number four singles spot with a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
The number two doubles duo of seniors Jacob Newman and David Opel won 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-4.
M-P improved to 6-6 in league play and overall and Lake Stevens dropped to 3-8.
