MARYSVILLE – When Marysville-Pilchuck and Archbishop Murphy played Dec. 21, the teams exchanged routs.
The Tomahawk boys had no trouble against ABM winning 70-41, but in the girls game it was the other way around, with M-P losing 56-19.
In the boys game, M-P had balanced scoring with RaeQuan Battle getting 20, Cameron Stordahl 16, Ethan Jackson 9, Brady Phelps and Aaron Kalab with 8 each, Treven Southard with 6 and Alec Jones-Smith with 3.
In the girls game, only four Tomahawks scored: Alex Grimm with 8, Madyson Baxter and Miriah Summers with 4 each, and Georgia Bradley tallied 3.
Boys wrestling
The Tomahawks from Marysville-Pilchuck picked up two wins in a home match Thursday, beating Snohomish 43-22 and Everett 48-24.
Jeff Roullier started things off at 285 pounds with a 7-3 decision, and Austin Davis followed up on that with a pin in 1 minute, 52 seconds at 126 pounds. Nick Cantu then got a pin in 5 minutes at 132 pounds, with Isaiah Woods then getting a 6-4 decision in the 138-pound matchup.
At 145 pounds, Isaiah Galindo dominated his foe for a 13-2 win. In the 170—pound match, Mauro Bejar won 9-3, and Cayden White won by pin in 1:27 in the 182—pound matchup.
Against the Seagulls, Tanner Lauzon won by pin in 52 seconds at 120 pounds; Davis won a close 6-4 decision; and Galindo won by pin in 3:39.
At 160 pounds, Ahmad Humoud won by pin in 4:43; Bejar won by pin in 1:47; and White again pinned his foe, this time in 1:18. At 220 pounds Ikaika Naweli won 8-3; and Roullier ended the match by pinning his opponent in 51 seconds.
