MARYSVILLE — The Marysville-Pilchuck track team traveled to Arlington on April 21 to face off against the Eagles and Oak Harbor in a three-way meet.

The Marysville boys finished in third with 40 points, Oak Harbor came in second with 53 and Arlington grabbed top honors with 88 points.

On the girls’ side, Marysville again finished in third with 48 points, Oak Harbor came in second with 53 points and Arlington finished in first with 88.

For the Marysville boys, Cody House placed first in the 400 meters with a time of 52.71 In the 3,200 meters, Cannon Counsellor placed third with a time of 10:58.17. In the 300 meter hurdles, senior Javier Martin ran a 46.65 for a second-place finish. Taking third in the 4×100 relay was the team of Chris Dockendorf, Cody Dockendorf, Cody House and Tony Stanfel.

M-P’s throwers also did well with Alfredo Diaz tossing the shot put 44-06.00 for second place and Aaron Wood throwing the discus 142-03 for a second-place finish.

Marysville finished 2-3 in the high jump with Marc Oden finishing in second at 5-8.00 and Aaron Wood, who cleared 5-06.00, claimed third place. The results were even better in the pole vault with Connor Hemming placing first at 14-00.00 and Jon Ell finishing in second at 13-00.00. Clifford Paulk had a triple jump of 36-07.75 which landed him a third-place finish.

On the Marysville girls’ side, senior Dacia Heckendorf finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 27.44. In the 1,600 meters Rachael Lefstad placed first with a time of 5:28.30. Lefstad also finished in first in the 3,200 meters with a time of 11:35.16.

Marysville’s relay teams also had some success with the 4×100 team of Charlee Pilon, Bailie Weikel, Bri King and Khalyn King running a 52.35 for second place. In the 4×200 relay, Bri King, Jessica Boyle, Dacia Heckendorf and Summer Cull teamed up for a first-place finish with a time of 1:49.07. Cull and Boyle teamed up with Farrah Bradley and Alissa Belan to run a 4:15.59 to earn first place in the 4×400.

Charlee Pilon finished second in the high jump at 4-08.00. Summer Cull cleared 10-00.00 for first place in the pole vault. M-P claimed two of the top three spots in the long jump with Makiya Nelson taking second at 15-08.00. Following her in third place was Pilon who jumped 15-06.50. Nelson also placed third in the triple jump at 32-04.00.
