MARYSVILLE — Cross-town rivals, Marysville-Pilchuck and Marysville Getchell, faced off in the Berry Bowl at Quil Ceda stadium, ending with the Tomahawks dominating the Chargers 51-7.
Austin Joyner started off M-P’s offensive game with a 62-yard touchdown and then returned a 67-yard punt for another.
Killian Page filled in for an injured Joyner and rushed for 234 yards and found the endzone four times in the first-half.
The Tomahawks were ahead 51-0 at halftime.
MG’s Devon Green scored the only points for the Chargers with a 5-yard run in the third quarter, but the Tomahawk’s did all the scoring they needed to win the Berry Bowl.
In other football news, Arlington lost to Oak Harbor 41-27, but Lakewood topped Cedarcrest 50-20 with Blake Watts opening the Cougars offense with a touchdown pass and running it in for another score.
