Marysville Getchell boys beat Oak Harbor in basketball; Parks leads Lady Hawks to another win

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Getchell boys basketball team staved off Oak Harbor 58-53 Jan. 24 in a Wesco 3A league game after losing a 27-19 halftime lead. Charles Tait led MG with 13 points. MG improved its record to 3-18.

MARYSVILLE — The Tulalip girls basketball team defeated Grace Academy 52-31 Jan. 24. Junior Keryn Parks led Tulalip with 19 points, Grace’s Ashley VanDam led her team with 16. The Hawks lead the league with a 15-2 record. Grace’s record dropped to 5-10.

MARYSVILLE — The Grace Academy boys basketball team defeated Tulalip Heritage 41-38 Jan. 24. Freshman Isaac Impola led Grace with 21 points, and freshman Josh Miranda led Tulalip with 12. Grace improved its record to 6-9 and dropped Tulalip’s to 6-10.
