MARYSVILLE – Freshman Brionna Palm had quite the first game for the Marysville Getchell girls softball team Thursday.
She was the winning pitcher, throwing a complete seven-inning game and giving up two runs on just three hits. And she went 2-for-3 with a double to lead the Chargers to a 4-2 win over Cascade.
MG actually trailed 2-1 in the sixth inning, as three errors hurt the home team. But the Chargers rallied for three runs to complete the comeback.
Thea Hatch also starred at the plate going 2-3, including a line-drive RBI double over the centerfielder’s head. MG rapped 11 hits in the game.
