ARLINGTON — Five innings were all it took for the Arlington 76ers to defeat Burlington and remain eligible to place in the Wally Evans Tournament over the holiday weekend.

LYNNWOOD — In one of the tournament’s closest games of opening day, the Marysville National All-Star team defeated the Alderwood All-Stars in a pitching duel, 4-1.
GRANITE FALLS — The Stilly Valley All-Star team overcame the sweltering conditions to defeat an overwhelmed Granite Falls squad in the second round of the fastpitch all-star tournament.
LYNNWOOD — The Marysville American All-Stars got their first win as a team in the opening round of the 2008 tournament, stomping their counterparts from Stanwood-Camano 18-0.
