EVERETT — With a chance at school history on the line, the M-P faithful turned out in droves to watch their Tomahawk soccer team wrest control of the league from a physical Cascade team.
Dominance in the field and distance events gave the Lakewood boys and girls track teams victory when Cedarcrest hosted the Cougars and Archbishop Murphy for a league tri-meet April 17.

MARYSVILLE — By completing the season sweep of Monroe with a home win April 19, M-P maintained its half-game lead to top the league.
The M-P girls won 10 of 18 events to edge Stanwood and the boys seven more for second place behind Arlington when Tomahawk track hosted the nearby rivals April 17.
EVERETT — After defeating Snohomish in front of a home crowd April 7, the Tomahawk soccer team was poised to take control of the league with a win over Everett two nights later.
MARYSVILLE — While phrases like “we wanted it more” are commonplace high school sports, the Tomahawk fastpitch team put forth an uncommon effort against Arlington to secure their second league win.
LAKEWOOD — Errors added up as Lakewood softball toppled in its April 2 meeting against Granite Falls.
ARLINGTON — With tough losses behind them, Marysville to Cascade and Arlington to Monroe, M-P and Arlington came into their March 31 game looking for a win.

With eight and nine wins respectively, the Marysville boys and girls track team took the largest number of victories in a three-team April 3 meet at Stanwood, but ultimately fell in the team standings to a deeper Stanwood team.
MARYSVILLE — The Tomahawks’ number three doubles team of Juliana Albano and Kayla Mullen held off an Arlington sweep of the doubles to help secure M-P a 4-3 win.
