Battle Creek Golf Course
Marysvilles Battle Creek Golf Course announced 14 winners from their Dec. 9-10 mens club competition.
Six golfers collected a total of $39 from even holes play Floyd Lameras scored a 36.5 for $12, Joe Comereski shot 38 for $9, Skip Adams and Ron Baunsgard each had a 38.5 for $6, and Gary Baunsgard and Tim Romo had a 39 each for $3.
In gross play, Graham Herring and Bob Peters each had a 41 for $10.50 apiece, and Bob Wallin and Rod Anderson a 43 for $4.50 apiece.##M:more]##
In net play, Bob Templeton carded a 34.5 for $12, Tim Romo a 36 for $9, and Bob Stiles and Denys Curtiss each had a 36.5 for $4.50 apiece.
Friday, Dec. 8, Ron Baunsgard recorded his second hole in one on No. 9, a 134-yard hole.
Baunsgard used a nine iron for his accomplishment.

Leading Edge gymnastics
The Leading Edge Gymnastics team of Everett took first place at the Fall State Gymnastics Championships Dec. 2-3 in Bellevue.
In the level four, 10-year-old division Kalona Tanielian of Stanwood placed 21st with a score of 34.175.
In the level six, 11-year-old division Danielle Wilson of Marysville finished in first place with an all-around score of 37.52.
Wilson received first place score of 9.550 on the balance beam and a 9.325 n the floor exercise for another first place.
Erin Thomas, also of Marysville, came in sixth place with a score of 35.825.
In the level five, 10-year-old division Jillian Ohlemeier of Stanwood placed fourth with a score of 36.525.
Tasha Del Pozo of Stanwood came in 16th place with a score of 34.175.
