With all the talk of district tournaments, state tournaments and that ilk coming with the postseason, a big game looms for the lady Tomahawks.

The Feb. 4 match up with Monroe could likely determine which team is crowned as the Wesco North champion.

The last game between the two went to the Bearcats by a 58-49 margin. This time M-P will have the home-court advantage and will likely hold a one-game lead as well. A loss would knock the lady Tomahawks into a tie with the Bearcats who hold the heads-up tie-breaker.

Of course, M-P has to get by Stanwood first — which I’m sure anybody will say is on the ladies’ minds foremost, but now’s about the time to think of titles.
